The LGBTQ+ community has a long history of showing up for one another. In 2021, as queer spaces began to recover from the hardships of lockdowns, shutdowns, mask mandates, and stay-at-home orders, we set out to shine a light on some of them — encouraging people to visit, share reviews, and post photos to help them bounce back. Shot almost entirely on the Google Pixel over four days, across five cities, with three photographers.
